Disclaimer: The images on this page are from the "Electronics Boutique 1996 Spring CD". This was a promotional CD catalog given out at Electronics Boutique & Waldensoftware stores in early 1996. The images are only 256 color because that was the depth of the source files (keep in mind this was 1996).
Video Game Accessories
Wrapping-up the catalog are the video game accessories. This is a general assortment of controllers, hint books, and stuff.
The Super Nintendo Tune-Up Kit was a $27 collection of cheaply made components.
Wow, $64.99 for the PlayStation Game Shark. I just bought one for under $1 recently.
The PlayStation Official Games Book was a collection of hints for first generation games.
The Specialized Control Pad was junk. It seems like it was modeled after a Super Nintendo pad.
Just realized that no one really makes joysticks for console systems anymore.
The Specialized Fighter Pad for the Super Nintendo moved the shoulder buttons so the layout was like the 6-button Genesis. This was debatably more popular than the Nintendo-branded controller.
Here's that horrible Saturn Control Pad. By far the most frequently broken product we had.
If you didn't mind dropping $60 you could get the Virtua Stick instead of the awful regular pad.
The 6 Button Control Pad for the Genesis is still one of the best controllers ever made.
Despite the picture, this listing is for the Stereo AV Cable for the Genesis.
The completely unnecessary Sega Genesis Cleaning System. Q-Tips do a much better job.
The original, non-analog, PlayStation Controller.
Someone can probably prove me wrong but the PlayStation was the first to offer an S Video Cable.
From the realm of short lived accessories, it's the PlayStation Multi-Tap.
From the realm of even shorter lived accessories it's the PlayStation Mouse. I can't think of a title off-hand that supported it.
The original PlayStation Memory Card.
Another PlayStation hint book.
Finally we have The Official Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 Arcade Guide.
