When I scanned this catalog I swore I wouldn't write notes for each of the 100 pages. Yet here I am on the education page, always my least favorite section of these. Maybe there's some weirdo who's really into this stuff, I don't know.

I still can't rationalize how that Barbie Hair Styler made the front page of this catalog.

The old Carmen Sandiego games were fun for all types of gamers. Seriously, dig up an old Apple II one and give it a try. The modern series has no real resemblance to the original.

Page 38 - Lego Island, Wishbone, Grossology, PrintMaster

In addition to Electronics Boutique, I also worked at a bookstore that Christmas of 1997. Those Wishbone books were hugely popular. I can't say the same for the software.

Page 39 - Live Pix, Dictionary, foreign language programs

I've never put any serious effort into learning a foreign language. As you can probably tell from this site I have enough hurdles with English already.

Page 40 - My Teacher is an Alien, Richard Scary, Math Invaders, Create and Play Safari, Total TV, How Things Work, Game Programming Starter Kit

Mercifully the education section is short so we can both move on to fun stuff. Hey, why is that Game Programming Starter Kit here and not by the games or productivity applications?
