Throughout the years many Phantasy Star sites have come and gone.
Some were lost forever but others I managed to snag a copy of before they vanished.
As part of my goal to make this a "complete" guide to Phantasy Star III I decided to post some of these old sites for historical purposes.
One reason I started this site was a lack of decent Phantasy Star III content on the web, looking back at these reminds me of just how little there really was.
Still, a few of these lost pages have some nuggets worth preserving.
Disclaimers and stuff:
- Unless otherwise noted, I have not received permission from any of the original owners to post their old site.
Most of these sites didn't have current contact information.
If the original author requests a site be taken down I will gladly do so.
- The only modification to the sites are:
- Ads removed.
- Pop-ups or dialogs removed.
- External links replaced with href="#". Most of these links were broken and doing this kept the original formatting intact.
- Email addresses removed.
Otherwise these look, and in some cases sound, exactly like they originally did. These all open in an iframe, right-click "Open in a new window" if you prefer otherwise.
When Yahoo! announced they'd be killing GeoCities in I rushed to grab everything Phantasy Star III related. Here's what remained as of May 2009, sorted roughly in order of quality:
FortuneCity was another free web host, it was never as big as GeoCities but hung around a little longer.
It stopped providing free hosting as of April 30, 2012.
